Revitalized Broadway Brew continues the party

TROY -- Owner Kareem Jandali knows how to attract attention to his Facebook postings. Just look over there ➜ at a typical piece of  artwork he chose to remind people that his Broadway Brew Biergarten is holding a beer pong tournament tonight.

The 8 p.m. event is, naturally, aimed at a younger demographic. Thus, in addition to a $100 cash prize to the winning team, the establishment also is offering "College Drink Specials all night." Not a great night for the older folks even if they have a craving for a Bad Breath Burger (gorgonzola, onion, tomato, lettuce and garlic-horseradish mayo), Kartoffelsalat (German potato salad with seared Black Forest ham), or Schweine Schnitzel Sandwich (pounded pork ribeye, breaded with a signature bier batter and panko).

Broadway Brew Biergarten, which is the reincarnation of Jandali's original Broadway Brew that was closed by the city as a public nuisance, has been making its new reputation with lots of calmer party events, hookah service, 16 beers on tap and 80 foreign and domestic bottled beers, along with a full liquor line and menu.
